Neutron Probe Hardware Questions

Does anyone in Australia service and support Neutron Probes?

Yes. ICT International Pty Ltd services and supports neutron probes in Australia. This support is provided by Dr Peter Cull who was the original founder of the neutron probe market in Australia. The ICT service engineer also has over 20 years' experience in servicing neutron probes.

How do I stop my probe from making a high pitched squealing noise when I plug my battery charger in?

The battery is completely discharged and has been for some time. The probe must be reset. Do this by first removing the front panel of the "Probe Top" by removing the four small screws at each corner. Once the front panel is removed you will see the battery pack. At the bottom left hand corner of the battery pack you will find a small white switch with a red dot on it. Flick the switch across and then back to the starting position. This should stop the squealing noise and the probe will charge correctly over the next 14 hours. If the noise does not stop, leave the switch flicked to the off position and charge the battery for 1 hour. Then flick the switch back to the original position and allow the probe to charge for a further 14 hours.
