Everest Infrared Calibration Source - Model 1000

The Model 1000 calibration source is used to check and verify the temperature reading of the Everest low temperature, portable infrared thermometers.  The Model 1000 calibration source is held in ambient air temperature and has a thermistor immediately under the surface of the target.  The calibration source is held in stable temperature conditions as you would typically find in a laboratory room.

No matter which low-temperature thermometer you have, you can quickly and accurately check its calibration in the field or laboratory with the Model 1000 Calibration Source. It is a small, hand-held, self-contained, portable unit.

This calibration source is designed as either a quick check of the hand held infrared thermometer or by using it in a range of stable temperature environments  a very detailed and specific recalibration of the low temperature infrared thermometer can be undertaken.

The blackbody surface of the instrument has been prepared using proprietary high emissivity aluminum oxide, with a configuration that uses re-entrant concentric rings. This allows the infrared energy to bounce back and forth between the rings, giving a blackbody surface closest to a perfect configuration as possible.
