Alec Downey

Alec Downey is a graduate from the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry B.Sc (For) and, has professional memberships to the Australian Society of Plant Physiologists, and Institute of Foresters of Australia.

Alec Downey joined ICT International in 1994 taking on a commercial research position with the company designed to develop commercial applications for a range of new plant science products such as, chlorphyll fluorescence meters, multispectral radiometers and sapflow sensors for measuring plant transpiration.

For three years Alec Downey was the International Marketing Manager for Dynamax Inc., an American manufacturing company. This involved the development and management of an international distribution network of more than 40 countries.

In 2003 Alec returned to ICT International to head up the plant science division managing the development of new products, applications, research and technical support for the plant science products. His responsibilities include management of distributors and sales in Central & South America, USA and Europe and providing expert applications support in all territories for the ICT plant science product range.
