ICT Entrenamiento y Taller Latino Americano para distribuidores

En Marzo de 2006, ICT International condujo un exitoso Entrenamiento y Taller para distribuidores de Latino América en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile. Asistieron al mismo distribuidores de Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia y Argentina. Durante el taller, de una duración de 5 días, los distribuidores recibieron entrenamiento teórico y práctico en el rango de productos ICT en sus áreas Meteorología, Ciencias del Suelo y Fisiología Vegetal.

Los productos de mayor interés para los distribuidores fueron los novedosos sensores, desarrollados por ICT Internacional, para la medición del flujo de savia inverso (HRM), potencial agua en planta (Higrómetro de Tallo) y un sensor de la conductividad eléctrica del suelo (Sensor de Salinidad del Suelo). Estos sensores son exclusivos de ICT International, y al ser combinados con el datalogger ICT Smart Logger o Estación Meteorológica FieldStation, provee a los distribuidores de una solución a medida de las necesidades del cliente.

La principal atracción de la ardua semana de entrenamiento fue la sesión práctica en la Universidad de Talca, donde los distribuidores se encargaron de la instalación de una Estación Meteorológica FieldStation para la medición del flujo de savia en un viñedo. Alvaro Arias, de LAPACA, dijo: "Instalar el equipo en un cultivo en producción, y tomar mediciones reales con el equipamiento fue la gran diferencia entre el entrenamiento de ICT International y los entrenamientos de otros fabricantes a los que he atendido”.

Cecilia Jaunarena, de Instrumentos del Sur, coincidió en que el formato del entrenamiento de ICT fue muy exitoso. "Aprender la teoría sobre el funcionamiento de los equipos es muy importante, principalmente debido a que como distribuidores, nos permite trabajar junto a nuestros clientes para diseñar las soluciones que satisfagan sus necesidades. Pero, realmente, la instalación y comando de un equipo en funcionamiento real a campo, y el aprendizaje de todas las técnicas de la instalación práctica y el setup, es la clave para poder ofrecer a los clientes un soporte local sólido”.

ICT International would like to thank all of the distributors for attending the workshop and helping to make it such a huge success. We look forward to continuing their development with more advanced training workshops planned in Australia over the next 12 months.

ICT International Establishes Weather Station Network in Cambodia

ICT working together with CARDI (Cambodia Agriculture Research Development Institute) has established the first phase of what will become the country's first and only National Weather Station Network.

The first phase was completed in December 2005 with the training of CARDI staff and commissioning of the main weather station infrastructure. In 2006 the network will be enabled with GSM wireless modems to link all the weather data from across the country to a central location at the main CARDI headquarters in Phnom Penh. Data will be downloaded daily and posted to a web site for access by all of CARDI's research staff. This project will be a major boost for all of CARDI's research projects and for the people of Cambodia as a nation.
